Originally from Durham, North Carolina, Angelina is a senior at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill double majoring in Journalism and Studio Art with a Social justice minor. Her fine art background plays an important role in her journalism and works with her curious and extroverted side to tell visual stories of the people and new communities she meets.
Angelina hopes to use visual storytelling to tell stories from all corners of the world and shed light on people and communities often overlooked. She was most recently a photo/video intern at the Raleigh News & Observer. She has also interned at Bloomberg in 2021, the Malheur Enterprise in Oregon, and was the photo editor at UNC's newspaper, the Daily Tar Heel. She also recently won first place in the 2022 Hearst Photojournalism Championship.
Her work has been published with the Washington Post, Bloomberg, the Associated Press, the Economist, the Raleigh News & Observer, the Charlotte Observer, the Oregonian, Portland Press Herald, USA Field Hockey, and more.
